The Carolinas Region welcomes a new chapter! EGA at Virginia Tech was chartered in the spring of 2023. These creative college students are eager to explore needlework techniques and improve their skills. They plan to meet every week during the academic year.

Membership Dues/Guests:
Primary membership: $40 annually
(Includes chapter dues of $6; region dues of $4; and national dues of $30, at the Young Adult rate for new and renewing members who are 18 – 25 years old and who provide their birthdates when paying their dues.) This Young Adult membership includes access to all National EGA classes and resources. Although Young Adults will not receive print copies of Needle Arts, the EGA magazine, they may download and print Needle Arts from the EGA website. Members who fall above the Young Adult age criteria will be pay annual dues of $65 (chapter dues of $6; region dues of $4; and national dues of $55) and will receive printed copies of Needle Arts.
Guests may visit twice before being asked to join the chapter.
Outreach:
Chapter members take part in one outreach project every semester, or two every year. In the past, beanies have been embroidered for cancer patients at the Roanoke Children’s Hospital and towels have been embroidered and donated to the Montgomery County Animal Shelter.
